Tongue in Ice

Tongue in Ice was presented at Wallriss Gallery in Fribourg Switzerland. As I performed atop two blocks of ice, I was simultaneously recorded to a LED screen laid adjacent on the ground. The action was also digitized to a live-online feed.
The doubling of my body in space seeks to reiterate the artifice of the action. While an intense bodily exchange is occurring, it should not be forgotten that it is within a space of construction, that an image and myth is being created in order to reach communion with ones self and their environment.
