Sunken Fall

The Dreamhouse, Queens, NY

Shot by Adrien de Monès

This footage was captured in the alternative performance and queer venue The Dreamhouse in Queens, NY. Utilizing the bizarre structure of the space I begin frenzied actions rooted in a cinematic portrayal of a stalked and disoriented character. As I begin to emote I dissolve into a trance like state of turmoil that resolves to a calm. The climax of the performance is marked by the playing of "The Children's Theme" composed by John Berry from Nicolas Roeg's Walkabout. The inclusion of this song is a nod to the film’s atmospheric influence and on the nature of finding joy amid chaos

Who saw him die?

I, said the Fly, with my little eye, I saw him die.

Who'll sing a psalm?

I, said the Thrush, as she sat on a bush, I'll sing a psalm.

Requiescat in pace (Rest in peace)
